NBA Finals Game Times Are Set

May 30, 2018 - 9:03 am

The NBA Finals matchup is set after the Golden State Warriors defeated the Houston Rockets last night on Houston’s home floor.

Both of the championship contenders competed in competitive game seven matchups during their respective conference finals. The Cavaliers benefited from the season-ending injuries to Gordon Hayward and Kyrie Irving. In a similar fashion, the Warriors faced a Chris Paul-less Rockets team for games six and seven after Paul went down late in game five with a strained hamstring. In addition to the injury to Paul, the Rockets shot a deplorable 7-44 from the 3-point line during game seven. That 7-44 included a stretch of 27 straight missed three-point attempts.

For the fourth year in a row, the NBA Finals will feature the Warriors and the Cleveland Cavaliers. For Lebron James, it is his eighth straight appearance in the NBA Finals.

Game one of the finals is in Golden State and starts at 6:00 P.M. PDT on Thursday. (5/31)
