The last season of the NFL resulted in a noticeable decrease in TV ratings. The conversations about the league have been more focused on rules, off the field trouble, and tension between the players and the owners.

The Alliance of American Football plans on starting their own football league next February. The league hopes to provide a free live-streaming service, incorporate fantasy style games for the fans, and ensure player safety. The league will feature eight different teams over a 12 week season.

It was announced yesterday that the league plans on bringing a team to San Diego. The creator of the infamous “Greatest Show on Turf”, Mike Martz, is in agreement to coach the team.

The season starts on February 9th.
