In an offseason filled with negative press, the NFL is in dire need of cleaning up their image. Kansas City Chiefs lineman Laurent Duvernay-Tardif is here to supply exactly that.

For the previous four years, Duvernay-Tardif has managed to handle the fast-paced lifestyle of the NFL while also putting his focus on schooling during the off-season. Duvernay-Tardif will have plenty of options when he chooses to retire from the NFL, as he is now the earner of an MD from McGill University in Montreal.

It has been a good two years for Duvernay-Tardif. In 2017, he signed a 5 year/$41.25 million extension to continue to play in Kansas City. One year later and Duvernay-Tardif can now say that he is a man of many talents.

Duvernay-Tardif’s life is the ultimate depiction of balance. His story should motivate other young players that this accomplishment is attainable.
