San Diego State will kickoff their 2018 season on August 31 at Stanford, and now they officially have a start time for their game. The two schools announced Thursday, that the the game will be played at 6 p.m. PT and will air on FS1.

Eleven of SDSU's Twelve games will be televised this season with six of the start times already announced. The remaining five games that still do not have an official start time are slated to be played on ESPN Networks.

Last season the Aztecs beat the then No. 19 Stanford Cardinal, 20-17, and have won their last three straight games against Pac-12 opponents. Stanford finished the season last year with a 9-5 record, in which they went 7-2 in Pac-12 games and earned a spot in the Pac-12 Championship game where they lost to USC 31-28. Stanford played TCU in the Alamo Bowl in their postseason game in which they lost in a thriller 39-37. Stanford finished the season ranked No. 20.

SDSU finished last season with a 10-3 record, a school-record third consecutive season with at least 10 wins. The Aztecs are one in only seven schools to win at least 10 games in the last three years, that puts them in the same company as Alabama, Clemson, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State and Wisconsin. The Aztecs return seven starters on offense and seven on defense, along with their kicker and punter.

USA Today ranked Stanford No. 12, and San Diego State No. 20 in their Preseason Top 25 After Spring Practice. It is looking like a big Top 25 showdown in Palo Alto in late August.
